James Nudera, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. James Nudera grew up in the Fox Valley area. He graduated high school from Marmion Military Academy, now known as Marmion Academy, in Aurora. Following high school graduation, James earned his Bachelor degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He received his D.D.S. at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He continued his dental education there with an additional three-year orthodontic residency and received his master’s degree.
Aside from private practice, Dr. Nudera is involved in many professional associations. He was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. He is also an active member in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Midwestern Society of Orthodontics. Dr. Nudera is board certified, having received diplomate status in the American Board of Orthodontics.
Anthony Johnston, D.D.S.
Dr. Anthony Johnston graduated from Northwestern Dental School in 1990. He graduated as an Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Society member with several awards in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics.
He joined Rockford Dental Care soon after graduation.
He and his wife have three wonderful children. Most of his spare time is spent trying to keep up with them and their activities. With three children, he is an unofficial expert in anything Disney or Disney World. He is a master scuba diver, runs marathons and loves to cycle and swim.
Hipolito Lopez, D.D.S.
Dr. Lopez received a BA in economics from Northwestern University in 1989 with an emphasis in pre-dental studies. He worked for four years in the insurance industry before deciding that healthcare was his calling. He received his DDS in 1999 from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Winnebago County Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. He is an advocate of continued dental education and attends many seminars and conferences to stay current with the dynamic changes in the dental profession.
Dr. Lopez is very committed to his family and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. He actively serves the community doing volunteer work, coaching youth sports, and serving as a lector at his church. He is a big sports fan, and loves reading, fishing, boating, wakeboarding, snow skiing, exercising and being with good friends and family.
He truly enjoys working with the doctors and staff at RDC and the comfort and well-being of our patients is his top priority.

Matt Mlsna, D.D.S.
Dr. Matt Mlsna graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1985 where he received his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He has been at Rockford Dental Care, P.C. since 1988.
Dr. Mlsna is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Winnebago County Dental Society.
Dr. Mlsna is married and enjoys spending time with his family and is an outdoor enthusiast.
Loan Nguyen, D.M.D.
Dr. Loan Nguyen graduated from the University of Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1999.
She is a member of the Winnebago County Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
While she and her husband spend most of their spare time doing activities with their children she loves to read and play tennis.
Robert Ryan, D.D.S.
Dr. Robert Ryan completed his pre-dental curriculum at Northern Illinois University and received a Bachelors degree in Biology. He then attended Loyola Medical Center’s School of Dentistry earning the degree: Doctor of Dental Surgery. After this, he continued his training in a periodontal residency program at the University of Illinois Dental-Medical Center receiving his specialty Certification in Periodontics. He has served as Clinical Instructor in the Periodontal Department of Loyola Dental School, lectured and given courses nationally, and has been published in The Journal of the American Dental Association.
He has served as president of the Northwest Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society and is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Illinois Society of Periodontists, Midwest Society of Periodontology and The Christian Dental Society.
Dr. Ryan also has the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Ryan is married, has two children and is active in his church and community. His hobbies include skiing, fishing, biking, golfing, gardening and volunteer services.
Richard Zanocco, D.D.S.
An Illinois native, Dr. Zanocco grew up in the Rockford area, the oldest of two brothers. He attended the University of Marquette in Milwaukee and Wisconsin where he did his undergraduate work and attended Marquette’s Dental School where he received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Prior to establishing Rockford Dental Care in 1978, his dental practice was located for a few years at Camelot Towers. He is dedicated to the advancements in dentistry and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Dr. Zanocco has over 30-years experience in dentistry and believes in listening to patient’s needs and desires.
Dr. Zanocco is a standing member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society.
When Dr. Zanocco is not practicing dentistry he spends most of his time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is an avid gardener, enjoys travel, photography, computer technology, and loves
Omar Salamen, D.D.S.
Dr. Salamen graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 2004. He then completed his oral surgery residency at Nova Southeastern University in 2009.
Dr. Salamen is a Diplomate of the Board of Oral undefined Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral undefined Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Academy of Osseointegration, and the Chicago Dental Society.
In his spare time he enjoys basketball and travelling.
